Elections to be Held for Seven of the Nine Vecinos Board Positions |

The Vecinos Annual Meeting of the membership will be held in-person upstairs at La Buena Vida restaurant in Akumal Norte and by Zoom teleconference at 10:30 a.m. Akumal time on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Members must be current on their dues payments in order to participate in the meeting and vote. A 2024-25 budget proposal will be submitted to members for approval and elections will be held to fill seven of the nine positions on the Vecinos Board of Directors. Eligibility to Participate and Vote Members Must Be Current on Dues to Vote |
|
|
Each member property receives one vote. Members must have been formally admitted to the association according to the Bylaws and be current on their fees to be eligible to participate in the Annual Meeting and vote. If you have not yet paid your 2023 dues and wish to vote in the election, please click here to pay by 5 p.m. Akumal time on Wednesday, February 21. If you would like to become a member, please click here to start the process. If your fees are paid and your documentation is completed and approved by the board by February 15, you will be eligible to vote. How to Vote In-Person, Online, and by Proxy Please Read the Rules Carefully! |

Votes will be accepted online, but your presence must be recorded at the Annual Meeting for your online vote to count. Proxies (please click here for proxy form) must be signed and submitted to Director of Elections Jon Kantor by Monday, February 19. Proxy-holders must be physically present at the meeting to vote proxies. If a member votes both online and either in-person or by proxy, the online vote will be discarded. Eight candidates are running for five members-at-large (vocales) of the board. The three candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be seated for two-year terms.
